The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Im grateful to all the GLS workers for paying for my pay rise and shorter working week.
Dropped at our mail centre too. Probably due to the shops opening up again.
We were told yesterday by our mail centre rep that we will go to 37 hours by October. 7 hfs 24m a day.
If it's urgent pay for special delivery
Hopefully some VR's then.
We have always worked Sundays at my mail centre. Saturday, Sunday part time duties. Full time night duties and plenty of overtime. Sundays attract enhanced pay rates that are mitigated by reducing duty hours. So a part timer on 20 hour contact would do 11 hours Saturday, 6 hours Sunday for their 20 hours.
I don't forsee much change in my mail centre and certainly no job losses. They are talking about setting on another 50 permanent postie's. The problem we have is there are always some that have a reason why they can't follow any new rules and so once management make an exception then they can't really enforce it with the rest.
International prices are included in the 2021 increases.
What happened to the big contract. Did we get it or was it scrapped?

What taxes?
And the cost of the machine.
Difficult and pointless.
If savings were difficult to measure how do you know they weren't met?
Up tomorrow hopefully.
January price increase will help with parcel profitability and more increases to follow. We don't always have to undercut the competition as in many cases it's easier for customers to pop to the post office when sending parcels. Price increases rather than cut backs are the way to profitability. No point delivering items you lose money on. Sometimes less is more, more or less.
Run out of time at 11.00. must have wanted to get to the super market before it got too busy.
Too late now I already organised the special bonus.
We will need a ballot for pay deal so I think the best way to get us our back pay before Xmas would be a special bonus. Leave it with me and I will see what I can do.
