My own view is that it will hurt margins in the short term but most will be in the same boat even though their retail prices may not reflect this, many will choose to absorb the costs in return for higher market share - many will fall by the wayside not being able to achieve economies of scale, this where larger players like myprotein will gain over the long run with deeper pockets and better brand momentum.

Board need to have a word with their advisors at the time, knock on effect is valuations - i can only see this years proposed IPO's being postponed until things improve, otherwise it's just not going to be worth it.

THG is around 1.4b GBP, there's just not enough room to split off divisions without them eclipsing THG Group.

When you say some of the market is following, are you referring to price increases? - manufactures could be hedged, others (THG) buying in the market (spot)

Market makers know retail are hurting, especially those on margin, expect more of the same.

This has nothing to do with how the company is run, just market dynamics.

My thoughts are that both Steven and Mark chose to move shares out of their respective limited companies when the share price was at a low point, therefore minimising any gains attributed to the company.

The TR1 notification would have to describe the share sale as a sale or disposal rather than a transfer, even though the shares may have been purchased by SW from the company himself, similar to Mark.

Mark's much larger holding has now popped up as approaching 4% and registered in his own name

This is all hypothetical of course but it tends to make sense timing wise, I would be interested also to see if Mark's holding increases further.

Short tracker should drop as that's still showing 1% which is roughly 12m shares

According to Ortex web site, there has been a 26% drop last days. not sure how accurate this data is but interesting to compare with Crest at month end.

Its also worth noting that Harbrooks original holding of IPO 3.25% was pre- may fund raise so the subsequent figure of 3.87% for Mark is a fair bit higher than 0.5% as originally thought.

It would make a lot of sense given his history with THG over many years.

Yup, its possible there has been a recent transfer from Harbrook Limited to his personal account prompting the entry, again difficult to verify.

Harbrook original holding at time of IPO 3.25% v 3.87%, increase of around 0.5% between the two entities.

Mark William Evans listed as 3.87% shareholder in addition to Balderton. Not sure how recent this entry is as unable to verify with other sites (awaiting Morningstar update).

Along with Steve Whitehead's disposal volume has been high with no holdings notifications. Mark is US based so presumably 5% threshold rule apples.
