Personally, I don't think these articles are targeted at THG at all, more likely us the retail investor of which there are many.

It turns into a bit of a frenzy generating lots of clicks for the papers, the more we click the more the page analytics show it was a success, the share price is driven more by the market makers or trading desks which will drive it up and down anyway.

We should get Crest data next couple of days but still expect it to be over 5%, this means more volatility over coming weeks.

A lot of the share price fall seems to be related to Hang Seng rather than NASDAQ, yesterday was a good example of NASDAQ moving up plus 3% while HCM closed red, Hang Seng on the other hand closed up 4% and so did the HCM HK quote, in fact HCM's graph is pretty much identical to HK.

The reason sighted for yesterdays move were further comments supporting not only the broader market but tech sector removing some of the lingering doubt, see below headlines -

The supportive tone is similar to that expressed in press releases concerning the audit issue, my guess is there will be several announcements over the next couple of weeks reinforcing the change of policy which may include resolution to HFCAA.
We have already seen a decrease in short positions both in HK and US, further positive news could reverse these positions and price declines.

HCM may also have its own news around EU/USA approvals.

NASDAQ up over 3%, absolutely no correlation at all - this is being played imo by US hedge funds to allow short closing.

Its probably down to MFIID2, lots of restrictions coming into play last year or two. Not worried about the analyst call as we have just had one.
