UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: New Chairs For Matomy And Shield

Tue, 26th May 2020 14:22

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Matomy Media Group Ltd - media technology - Appoints Amitay Weiss as chair. Says Chief Financial Officer Ilan Tamir to be interim CEO as well as CFO before leaving the company on September 30. The Tel Aviv-based company's brief announcement didn't provide any further details about the two management changes. Back in February, Matomy said Sami Totah, chair since June 2018, had resigned following the sale of the 9.5% stake in Matomy held by Viola AV Adsmarket LP, where Totah is general partner. In March, as Matomy reported a widened loss for 2019, CFO Tamir said: "We are glad to have brought Matomy to safe harbours. We were successful in selling Team Internet, which enabled us to redeem the bond, and pay off all of the company's debts." In December of last year, Matomy agreed to sell its 90% stake in Team Internet, which provides services in the direct navigation search market, to CentralNic Group PLC.

----------

Shield Therapeutics PLC - iron deficiency treatments - Hans Peter Hasler to become non-executive chair from annual general meeting on June 18, replacing James Karis. Hasler joined the Shield Therapeutics board in July 2018. He was COO of Elan Corp and of Biogen Inc.

----------

SQN Secured Income Fund PLC - secured lending income investment - Chair Ken Hillen steps down as a director, citing a potential conflict between his business interests and those of the investment trust in the near term. Hillen was named chair at the end of 2018. David Stevenson steps up to chair from Tuesday. Stevenson has been a director since 2015.

----------

Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC - universal banking - Takis Arapoglou re-elected as chair. Lyn Grobler is elected vice-chair, succeeding Maksim Goldman.

----------

PureTech Health PLC - clinical-stage biotherapeutics - Vor Biopharma, a company founded by PureTech Health, names Nathan Jorgensen as chief financial officer. Jorgensen has worked in healthcare-focused finance roles at Qatar Investment Authority and Stifel Nicolaus.

----------

Dev Clever Holdings PLC - cloud-based gamification and virtual reality - Adds Chief Operating Officer Tim Heaton to board, with immediate effect. Heaton joined Dev Clever back in October, having been business development director for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Oracle Corp. Heaton has been leading Dev Clever's efforts to integrate its educational careers guidance software applications with a hardware manufacturer. This recently resulted in a three-year exclusive contract with China's Lenovo Group Ltd.
