ISTANBUL, Sept 20 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports andevents that may affect Turkish financial markets on Friday.

The lira was bid at 5.7175 against theU.S. dollar at 0423 GMT, little changed from a close of 5.7148on Thursday.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year bond rose to15.06% on Thursday from 14.89% on Wednesday.

The main BIST 100 share index fell 1.56% onThursday to 100,338.77 points.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian share prices inched higher on Friday as economicstimulus around the world eased fears over slowing growth, whilecrude oil prices climbed on concerns that last weekend's attackson Saudi Arabia's oil facilities still pose supply risks. MSCI'sbroadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japanrose 0.15% though it is on course to post itsfirst weekly decline in five, hit by sizable losses in Hong Kongand India.

ERDOGAN SCHEDULE

President Tayyip Erdogan will make a speech at aninternational social sciences congress in Istanbul (1130 GMT).

REPORTERS TRIAL

A Turkish court starts the trial of two Bloomberg reportersover a story published in August 2018 regarding effects of asharp decline in the lira and how authorities and banks wereresponding.

CONSUMER CONFIDENCE

The Turkish Statistical Institute announces consumerconfidence data for September (0700 GMT).

CENTRAL GOVERNMENT DEBT STOCK

The Treasury will announce central government debt stockdata for August (1430 GMT).

TURK TELEKOM STAKE SALE

Three Turkish banks said on Thursday they had mandatedMorgan Stanley as financial adviser for the sale of aspecial purpose vehicle (SPV) that holds a 55% stake in TurkTelekom, sending the company's shares up.

BIG BANKS CONSIDER AMC

Turkey's leading banks have discussed creating an assetmanagement company (AMC) to house their higher-qualitynon-performing loans (NPLs) as a possible solution to thecountry's bad-debt problem, said two people familiar with thetalks.
