Tintra shares fall after changing name from St James House

Tue, 03rd Aug 2021 12:48

(Alliance News) - Investment and advisory company Tintra PLC on Tuesday said it has changed its name from St James House PLC.

The AIM-listed company, which formerly focused on IT services, will trade under the ticker TNT from Tuesday after the change of name was passed at its annual general meeting on Friday.

Back in March, Windsor, Berkshire-based St James House entered a financing and commercial agreement with 9.9% shareholder Tintra Acquisitions Ltd, an associated firm of Tintra Holdings Ltd, including licensing the Tintra brand. Dubai-based Tintra acts as a family office and investment manager for emerging market clients. Last month, St James House hired Tintra-founder Richard Shearer as chief executive officer and proposed the name change.

Shares in Tintra were trading down 11% at 33.00 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
