Tate & Lyle hires Mars executive as new chief financial officer

Wed, 09th Feb 2022 09:51

(Alliance News) - Tate & Lyle PLC on Wednesday said it has hired Mars Inc executive Dawn Allen as its new chief financial officer.

Allen joins from the maker of Galaxy chocolate and Whiskas cat food, where she has been global chief financial officer & vice president for Global Transformation since 2020. Prior to that, during a 25-year career at Mars, she held a number of senior financial roles in Europe and the US.

She will join food and beverage ingredients provider Tate & Lyle on May 16. Allen will be replacing Vivid Sehgal, whose departure, for personal reasons, was announced in November.

"Dawn's extensive financial, commercial and international experience will be of great value to Tate & Lyle and she is a very welcome addition to our Board," said Tate & Lyle Chair Gerry Murphy.

Shares in Tate & Lyle were down 0.7% at 709.80 pence in London on Wednesday.
