(Alliance News) - STV Group PLC on Wednesday announced it will be launching its STV Player throughout the UK on Virgin Media TV's platform.
Customers of Virgin Media TV will be able to access 1500 hours of shows by the Scottish-run broadcaster via their set top box.
STV Player has seen a boost in viewership of 70% this year so far.
STV Digital Director Richard Williams said: "The STV Player is going through a period of impressive growth, and we're thrilled to be opening up our content to viewers across the UK with our friends at Virgin Media."
STV Group shares were up 0.5% at 221.00 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London.
