LONDON, July 21 (Reuters) - Stena Bulk, the British operatorof a tanker seized by Iran, has made a formal request to visitthe 23 crew members of the Stena Impero and is awaiting a formalresponse, it said on Sunday.
"I can confirm a formal request for permission to visit the23 crew members of the Stena Impero has been made to theauthorities at the Port of Bandar Abbas," Stena Bulk Presidentand CEO Erik Hanell said in a statement.
"The request has been acknowledged, but we await a formalresponse. In the meantime, we will continue to cooperate andliaise with all appropriate authorities."(Reporting by Elizabeth PiperEditing by David Goodman)
