Simigon wins further strategic contract with US Air Force

(Sharecast News) - Simulation and training solutions business Simigon has secured a further strategic contract with the United States Air Force.
As part of the contract, Simigon will provide undergraduate pilots at Laughlin Air Force Base with access to its SIMbox-based T-6A Mixed Reality training devices.

Simigon's SIMbox devices blend virtual and physical worlds, with trainees using the devices being able to see their hands physically interact with the simulated cockpit while being fully immersed in a high-fidelity virtual environment.

The AIM-listed group said expected revenues from the USAF contract had already been factored into its full-year expectations.

Chief executive Ami Vizer said: "The USAF's increased use of the company's technology and MR solutions for its training pipeline demonstrates the many advantages of SIMbox as a scalable, comprehensive training system.

"We expect this contract, where we have implemented a subscription-based pricing model, to lead to additional MR training opportunities in the USAF as well as more business in the wider civilian arena."

As of 0840 BST, Simigon shares had climbed 8.97% to 10.08p.
