(Alliance News) - Seneca Growth Capital VCT PLC on Tuesday said its performance deteriorated in its recently-ended financial year.
The investment firm said net asset value per ordinary share slipped to 30.2 pence as at the end of 2020 compared to 30.4p reported a year earlier, while NAV per B share was 91.8p, lower than 93.1p the year before.
The company said total return - which is NAV per share plus cumulative dividends per share - for each share class increased during the year with the B share increasing by 1.8% to 97.8p and the ordinary share increasing by 16% to 95.5p.
Seneca Growth Capital VCT said it had made six new B share pool investments in the year in addition to achieving one full exit and one partial exit and as a result the company's B share pool closed the year with ten investments, an increase of five on the prior year.
There were two full and one partial disposal from the ordinary share pool, the company noted, with the ordinary share pool now having just seven investments.
The company said two dividends were paid during the year totalling 3.0p per B share. The payment of dividends per ordinary share totalled 13.0p.
Seneca Growth Capital VCT shares were untraded in London on Tuesday, last closing at 27.00p each.
