Royal Bank Of Scotland To Redeem USD2 Billion In Notes

(Alliance News) - Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC on Monday said it will redeem USD2 billion of outstanding 7.5% perpetual subordinated contingent convertible additional tier 1 capital notes on August 10.

All of the outstanding notes will be redeemed at 100% of principal amount, together with accrued and unpaid interest, the Edinburgh-based lender added. The notes will be cancelled after redemption.

Shares in RBS were down 0.7% at 117.70 pence each in London on Monday morning.
