(Alliance News) - RHI Magnesita NV on Tuesday said it has appointed John Ramsay as deputy chair and senior independent director, while saying goodbye to James Leng.
Ramsay will take on his new role on October 1, following Leng's departure on September 30.
The FTSE 250-listed refractory products firm said Ramsay has been on the board since its listing three years ago, as independent non-executive director and chair of the Audit & Compliance Committee.
Prior, the Vienna-based company said Ramsay has had a long running executive career with Syngenta AG and currently sits on the boards of Koninklijke DSM NV, G4S PLC and Croda International PLC in various capacities.
In regard to Leng's departure Chair Herbert Cordt said: "[Jim Leng] has been a fundamental part of the establishment of the company, and we have benefited significantly from his extensive experience and counsel. He has supported the board with energy and passion on our governance journey from listing to date."
RHI Magnesita shares were down 0.2% at 2,526.00 pence each on Tuesday afternoon in London.
