Reckitt Benckiser rebrands in effort to become "more memorable"

Wed, 31st Mar 2021 13:50

(Alliance News) - Consumer goods giant Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC said Wednesday it is rebranding as "Reckitt" in an effort to make its name "clearer, simpler and more memorable".

Reckitt noted its listed company name will remain the same but will be changing its ticker.

Miguel Veiga-Pestana, head of Corporate Affairs & Chief Sustainability Officer, said: "The brand is a visible symbol of our corporate purpose and the change that has been taking place across the business on our journey of transformation. The name reflects the existing widespread usage of Reckitt and is clearer, simpler and more memorable, while retaining positive associations with the company's heritage."

The company added: "Shareholdings are unaffected by the name change, and existing share certificates should be retained, as they will remain valid for all purposes."

Shares in Reckitt Benckiser were 0.4% higher in London on Wednesday in midday trade at 6,518.00 pence each.
