Thu, 20th Feb 2020 18:15

(Alliance News) - Contracts-for-difference trading service provider Plus500 Ltd said Thursday that 35% shareholders voted against remuneration terms for Chief Executive Asaf Elimelech and Chief Financial Officer Elad Even-Chen, although both the remuneration resolutions were passed at the extraordinary general meeting.

"The board, with the support of the remuneration committee, takes these votes seriously, and will continue to consider shareholder feedback to ensure it is better understood and implemented as appropriate. The board also reiterates its commitment to achieving the highest governance standards," Plus500 said in response.

The resolutions approving the remuneration terms of Elimelech and Even-Chen passed with 65% of shareholders in support.

The stock closed 0.4% higher at 842.80 pence each on Thursday in London.
