(Sharecast News) - US biotech company Moderna confirmed on Friday that it is in talks with Japan about the potential supply of 40 million or more doses of its Covid-19 vaccine candidate.
Under the terms of this arrangement, the vaccine - mRNA-1273 - would be supplied by Moderna and distributed in Japan by Takeda Pharmaceutical from the the first half of next year, if it receives regulatory approval.
The talks between Moderna and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan were announced earlier by minister Kato Katsunobu.
