CANBERA (Alliance News) - The Bank of Canada will announce its interest rate decision at 10:00 am ET Wednesday. Economists expect the bank to retain interest rates unchanged at 0.75%.
Ahead of the announcement, the loonie showed mixed trading against its major rivals. While the loonie rose against the yen and the greenback, it held steady against the aussie and the euro.
The loonie was quoted at 1.2437 against the greenback, 0.9604 against the aussie, 99.38 against the yen and 1.3527 against the euro as of 9:55 am ET.
