MORNING CALL: STILL STUCK IN RANGE (0533 GMT)

European futures are in the red, after a strong risk-on session yesterday, but with the
Stoxx 600 which seems unwilling to exit the range it has been stuck in for the last month.

Fears about the impact on the global economy of rising coronavirus cases in the U.S.
continue to weigh even if Wall Street rose overnight after better than expected U.S. data.

Asian shares have been pausing for breath after recent gains, while a Chinese share rally
extended into its sixth day as retail investors rushed to join an officially sanctioned bull
market. A recent editorial in the official China Securities Journal said China needs further
share market gains to fund a rapidly developing digital economy.
