Kennedy Ventures Appoints Larry Johnson As New Chief Executive

Mon, 09th Jan 2017 09:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - Natural resources investment company Kennedy Ventures PLC on Monday said it has appointed Larry Johnson as its new chief executive with immediate effect.

Johnson replaces Peter Hibberd, who stepped down as CEO of Kennedy Ventures, which owns a stake in the Tantalite Valley tantalum mine in Namibia.

Johnson has over 25 years' experience in the tantalum industry, Kennedy Ventures said, most recently as director for mining and the global tantalum supply chain at KEMET Electronics Corp, a US-based specialty transformers maker.

Kennedy Ventures shares were up 8.7% to 8.69 pence on Monday.
