(Alliance News) - Kenyan plantation owner Kakuzi PLC said Wednesday former chair and current Non-Executive Director Kenneth Tarplee has died "after a long battle with cancer."
Tarplee joined the company's board in 1993, with his penultimate role being the chair of the company, before stepping down in 2017 when he became a non-executive director.
Kakuzi said Tarplee was "instrumental in developing the company into what it is today with his untiring focus on good corporate governance and his absolute belief in moral and principled leadership."
Kakuzi shares were untraded at 92.50 pence each in London on Wednesday.
