OSLO, April 4 (Reuters) - Physical gas flows through the Yamal-Europe pipeline at Germany's Mallnow point fell to zero late on Sunday after changing direction several times over the weekend, data from operator Gascade showed.

Physical flows of gas in either direction stopped from 1800 GMT on Sunday, after flowing westward from Poland into Germany at a very low 237 kWh/h the previous hour, data from operator Gascade showed.

Earlier on Sunday, gas flowed eastward from Germany into Poland at around 1,648,000 kWh/h, according to the data.

"It is not unusual for flows to change quite often in line with nominations and this is a situation we have seen many times over the past weeks," a Gascade spokesperson told Reuters.

Meanwhile, nominations, or requests for gas, to Slovakia's Velke Kapusany entry point from Ukraine were steady on Monday at 967,841 MWh.

Flows through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Germany were largely steady at 70,623,310 kWh/h. (Reporting by Nora Buli; additional reporting by Jason Hovet; editing by Nina Chestney)
