DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Vedanta Resources Chairman Buys 3.5 Million Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - Vedanta Resources Tuesday said Chairman Anil K Agarwal has bought, through Volcan Investments Ltd, 3.5 million shares in the company.

He bought about 2.4 million shares at GBP8.27, 957,364 shares at GBP8.65; 150,017 shares at GBP8.65 and 8,119 shares at GBP8.00.

The transactions occurred on four days between December 19 and December 24.

Volcan Investments now has a holding of 178.3 million shares, or 67% of the company.

Vedanta shares were Tuesday quoted at 878.00 pence, up 4.50 pence, or 0.5%.
