Wed, 10th Feb 2021 22:00

(Alliance News) - Carnival PLC said late Wednesday it has priced its private offering of 5.75% senior unsecured notes due 2027.

The Miami, Florida-based cruise line operator will offer an aggregate principal amount of USD3.5 billion, with the notes paying interest semi-annually on March 1 and September 1 of each year.

Proceeds from the notes offering will go towards making scheduled principal payments on debt during 2021, as well as general corporate purposes, including the financing of a part of the purchase price, rental payments and costs related to its property, plant and equipment, as well as their repair, replacement and improvements.

The offering of the notes is expected to close on Tuesday next week.

Shares in Carnival closed 0.3% higher at 1,322.00 pence on Wednesday in London. New York shares closed 0.6% lower at USD20.93, and were marginally lower at USD20.92 in after hours trade.
