(Alliance News) - Baillie Gifford Japan Trust PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Sharon Brown to its board as a non-executive director.
Brown joins the trust, which invests mainly in medium to smaller sized Japanese firms, with immediate effect. She will also become audit chair at Baillie Gifford Japan after its December annual general meeting.
Brown is the audit committee chair of Fidelity Special Values PLC. She also serves as director and audit chair at Celtic PLC, BMO Capital & Income Investment Trust LPC, and McColl's Retail Group PLC.
Shares in Baillie Gifford Japan were down 1.1% at 815.00 pence in London on Thursday afternoon.
