Avingtrans's Energy Steel wins USD4.1 million nuclear contract

(Alliance News) - Critical components manufacturer Avingtrans PLC said on Monday its Energy Steel division has secured a USD4.1 million contract from Nuclear Waste Partnership LLC.

The contract, to be completed by June 2023, includes the supply of materials required for the waste isolation pilot plant, the only deep geological repository in the US. The repository, in New Mexico, is licensed to store radioactive waste.

Shares in Avingtrans were up 3.4% at 442.00 pence on Monday afternoon in London.
