AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Sanderson Design lifts outlook, Gattaca lowers

Tue, 18th Jan 2022 10:58

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Tuesday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Sanderson Design Group, up 17% at 179.50 pence, 12-month range 93p-235p. The interior design and furnishings company expects full-year profit "significantly ahead" of board expectations due to the operational gearing effect of recent manufacturing sales and additional, higher margin, licensing income. Expects adjusted pretax profit of at least GBP12.0 million for financial year ending January 31.

----------

Avacta Group PLC, up 8.1% at 78.88p, 12-month range 66.6p-291.8p. Shares in the cancer-focused immunotherapies developer rise after saying the next pre|CISION drug candidate, AVA3996, has been selected for pre-clinical development with a view to a first-in-human phase one clinical trial beginning in the second half of 2023.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

Reneuron Group PLC, down 39% at 47.25p, 12-month range 40p-153.78p. Falls after saying it will drop retinitis pigmentosa trials after "inconclusive" clinical data for their stem cell therapeutic treatment. "While it is disappointing that the RP clinical data achieved so far has been inconclusive as to which patients respond best to our hRPC therapeutic candidate, we believe that the programme still offers promise. However, we believe this would be best further investigated by a partner," says Chief Executive Officer Olav Hellebo.

----------

Gattaca PLC, down 33% at 93.06p, 12-month range 75p-287.9p. Warns continuing underlying pretax profit for financial year to July 31 will be "significantly below" market expectations. This is driven by a delayed recover in its contract business. Expects underlying pretax profit for year to be "around breakeven". "We remain committed to driving sustainable recovery from the pandemic and confident in the long-term growth prospects for the business," the recruitment services provider adds.
