Robert Walters PLC, up 7.0% at 579.76 pence, 12-month range 542.00p-862.00p. Pretax profit improves sharply in 2021 to GBP50.2 million from GBP12.1 million in 2020. Revenue increases to GBP970.7 million from GBP938.4 million. Net fee income rises to GBP353.6 million from GBP302.4 million. Ups total dividend to 20.4 pence from 15.5p year prior. "The group's proven track record of profitably weathering international crises and benefiting from operational gearing when market conditions become more favourable enabled the group to deliver its most profitable year ever," Chief Executive Robert Walters says.

XPS Pensions Group PLC, down 2.3% at 124.12 pence, 12-month range 118.00p-151.50p. Enters strategic alliance with abrdn PLC to launch a UK defined benefit master trust. The trust is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2022. "It is believed to be the first UK DB master trust to be developed and launched through a strategic alliance between an independent pensions consultancy and a leading global asset manager. XPS will provide the actuarial and investment consulting, administration, secretarial and covenant services to the master trust," company says.
