(Alliance News) - Vodafone Group PLC on Friday said it has extended its strategic partnership with AO World PLC, an online electricals retailer, to include new services.
The FTSE 100-listed telecommunications firm said the services include Vodafone Unlimited, its recently launched range of unlimited mobile data plans for both 4G and 5G, as well as VOXI, Vodafone's youth brand that offers endless data on social media.
The company noted that online is the fastest growing channel for customers buying mobile and in strengthening its partnership with AO.com, Vodafone said it can offer even more consumers greater choice and low prices.
"We've partnered with AO to give consumers more choice and better value, whether through our unlimited data plans and entertainment packages for households with multiple devices, or VOXI," said Vodafone UK Chief Executive Officer Nick Jeffery.
"This partnership reflects the way that customers are shopping for mobile today which is great news for customers and a huge vote of confidence in AO's recent move into the mobile phone market.," added John Roberts, AO World founder & chief executive.
Vodafone shares were trading 0.6% lower on Friday in London at 161.80 pence each. AO World was down 4.0% at 64.20p.
