(Alliance News) - Exploration firm Alien Metals Ltd on Tuesday said it has begun a survey at its Donovan-2 copper and gold project in Mexico as it bids to determine "high-priority drill targets" at the asset.
The company has called on Mexico-based TMC Exploracion S RL de CV to carry out the survey, with results expected in the first quarter of the year.
Technical Director Bill Good said: "With their knowledge of the project to date they will be able to add further value to this program combining historic and new data and we look forward to a successful and positive outcome from the program."
TMC previously performed geophysical studies at Donovan-2.
Alien Metals added: "The Donavon 2 copper-gold project has attracted a number of enquires and the company is continuing discussions with a range of parties regarding potential joint venture opportunities on this project, however no binding agreements have been reached to date."
Shares in the company were 8.1% higher at 0.20 pence each in London around midday.
