The FTSE Small Caps Index trades flat, but outperforms the blue-chipFTSE 100 index and the FTSE 250 mid-cap index which are down by0.8 percent and 0.3 percent respectively.
Daisy Group, provider of business communication services, gains 6.5percent after saying it is performing in line with management expectations andthere has been very good progress in signing new contracts with its formercustomer base.
"The most recent acquisition, Daisy Data Centre Solutions, is performing asexpected, as is the core retail business: a number of managed service contractsare demonstrating the increased scale of the potential new customers, whileDaisy's position as a principal reseller of Vodafone has resulted in improvedcommercial arrangements," finnCap writes in a note.
