LONDON (Alliance News) - RPC Group PLC shareholders voted in favour of the takeover by Berry Global Group Inc on Thursday.
The packaging firm said the 89.9% of shareholder voted in favour of the deal, representing 164.4 million shares,
Berry will pay 793 pence per share for rival packaging business RPC in a GBP3.34 billion takeover. Shares in RPC closed down 0.1% Thursday at 787.00 pence each.
Berry has received antitrust clearance in the US and South Africa, with Berry expecting the deal to close early in the third quarter of 2019.
