AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Simec Atlantis shareholder back in Gupta control

Fri, 23rd Jul 2021 10:29

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Friday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Simec Atlantis Energy Ltd, up 46% at 6.15 pence, 12-month range 3.75p-33p. Says Gupta Family Group Alliance, of which major shareholder Simec UK Energy Holdings Ltd is a member, has confirmed to Simec Atlantis that the receiver's appointment has ceased. Simec Atlantis previously reported GFG had started proceedings challenging the receivership of Simec UK Energy. Simec UK Energy holds 41% stake in Simec Atlantis. Receivers have resigned as directors of Simec UK Energy, and GFG Alliance has confirmed it is in control of the Simec Atlantis shares. "SAE understands that this matter is now resolved and looks forward to a more stable relationship with its major shareholder," it says.

----------

Berkeley Energia Ltd, up 7.7% at 16.50p, 12-month range 10.87p-54.99p. The clean energy company takes first steps to overturn unfavourable decision by Spain's Nuclear Safety Council for the grant of the authorisation for construction for the uranium concentrate plant as a radioactive facility at the company's Salamanca project. Submits 'Improvement Report' to supplement the initial NSC II application. "The company will continue to strongly defend its position in relation to the adverse decision by the NSC and will continue to update the market on any material developments as they occur," it says.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

LoopUp Group PLC, down 12% at 42.56p, 12-month range 40p-250p. Stock extends losses after 23% slump on Thursday, when it said it expects to report first half revenue that is 13% below management expectations.

----------

Remote Monitored Systems PLC, down 9.2% at 0.799p, 12-month range 0.27p-6.85p. Says sales of Pro-Larva face mask have not been significant to date, but notes "encouraging" conversations with potential partners. "Whilst sales of the Pro-Larva mask remain a key priority, the group is increasing its focus on developing the portfolio of new products," it says.
