HOUSTON, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell Plc's joint-venture 327,000 barrel per day (bpd) Deer Park, Texas,refinery was restarting its 70,000 bpd gasoline-producingfluidic catalytic cracking unit on Tuesday, said sourcesfamiliar with operations at the refinery.
The Deer Park refinery has been working to repair the FCCUand restore it to production since an Aug. 18 breakdown.
The FCCU's restart has twice been delayed in the previoustwo weeks in part due to delays in receiving parts needed tocomplete the work. Operators have also been synchronizingdifferent sections of the unit, the sources said.
