FRANKFURT, Nov 27 (Reuters) - A deal for a unit of RoyalDutch Shell to acquire a 15 percent stake inToll4Europe, an electronic toll service provider backed byDeutsche Telekom, has won antitrust clearance, theGerman company said on Tuesday.
The unit, euroShell Cards B.V. joins a consortium comprisingTelekom unit T-Systems, which will retain a 55 percentcontrolling stake, with Daimler and DKV Euro Servicealso owning 15 percent each.
Toll4Europe will handle electronic payments for truckers,using an on-board device, under the European Electronic TollService directive that requires toll systems to be interoperableacross European Union member states, Deutsche Telekom said.
