(Alliance News) - Vistry Group PLC on Monday said it has hired Ashley Steel, former vice-chair and global head of transport at KPMG International Limited, as non-executive director effective immediately.
The Kent, England-based housebuilder said that Steel will serve on its nomination, remuneration and audit committees. Steel has non-executive director experience in the the transport, technology and media sectors.
Steel's experience includes 11 years at KPMG International, where she was appointed vice chair and member of the company's UK and European boards before retiring in 2014. Currently, Steel is a non-executive at transport operator National Express Group PLC and cinema group Cineworld Group PLC. Previously, she has served as non-executive director for online comparison provider GoCo Group PLC, the law firm Ince & Co LLP, the BBC and the Civil Aviation Authority.
Head of the recruitment process and non-executive chair of Vistry Group, Ian Tyler said: "Ashley's strong board experience will further strengthen the board as we continue to grow and develop our operations following the successful acquisition of the Linden Homes and Partnerships businesses from Galliford Try last year. I look forward to her valuable contribution."
Vistry Group shares were trading down 1.2% at 1,249.50 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
