SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: National Express lifts transport providers

Tue, 26th Apr 2022 11:04

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Go-Ahead Group PLC, up 5.1% at 904.00 pence, 12-month range 450.60p-1,390.00p. Transport operator rises in positive read across following promising update from peer National Express Group PLC. National Express says revenue in the first quarter of 2022 claws back to levels seen in 2019, before the onset of the pandemic. Quarterly revenue climbed 30% annually at constant currency, helped by a 33% hike at the transport provider's UK & Germany arm. National Express shares climbed 9.1% in the FTSE 250. Stagecoach Group PLC rises 0.3%.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

McColl's Retail Group PLC, down 23% at 1.37p, 12-month range 1.06p-39.80p. Shares in convenience store chain operator suffer again. On Monday, company warned on the outcome of financing solution talks. Talks "increasingly likely" to result in shares having little or no value.
