(Alliance News) - Enterprise software firm Micro Focus International PLC has hired William Hill's chief financial officer as its new CFO, it said on Tuesday.
Since April 2020 Matt Ashley has been CFO of the bookmaker, which was bought earlier in the year by US gambling resorts operator Caesars Entertainment Inc in a GBP2.9 billion takeover.
Ashley has also held positions at National Express Group PLC including CFO and president & chief executive of its North America business. He will join Micro Focus from June 28 and will begin executive duties from July 1.
Micro Focus CEO Stephen Murdoch said: "Matt brings a highly relevant mix of operational experience together with a history of delivering significant value creation.
"He joins our board and leadership team at an important stage in the execution of our recovery plan and we are confident he will make a significant contribution to the business from the outset."
Current CFO Brian McArthur-Muscroft will be leaving the business on June 30 to become CFO of an unnamed "technology-based financial services company".
Shares in Micro Focus were up 1.9% to 530.00 pence in London on Tuesday.
