LONDON (Alliance News) - Medaphor Group PLC on Thursday said its ultrasound skills training simulator ScanTrainer Professional has been awarded official accredited provider status by the CPD Standards Office.
CPD stands for continuing professional development, and the CPD Standards Office awards independent CPD accreditation to training and learning activities across all professions and sectors.
This CPD status means that doctors and sonographers in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East can gain CPD points by completing ScanTrainer's curriculum-based general medicine, obstetrics, gynaecology and emergency medicine ultrasound modules, Medaphor said.
"This is another significant milestone for our ScanTrainer Professional ultrasound training simulator and further enhances the system's value to medical institutions and medical practitioners in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. We plan to replicate this in North America, with their equivalent CME points system," said Chief Executive Officer Stuart Gall in a statement.
Shares in Medaphor were untraded Thursday, having last closed at 30.90 pence Thursday.
