(Sharecast News) - Shares of infrastructure investor John Laing shot higher on Thursday as it confirmed it is in talks with private equity firm KKR about a possible offer for the company.
"There can be no certainty that any firm offer for the company will be made nor as to the terms on which any firm offer might be made," it said.
KKR now has until 3 June to either announce a firm intention to make an offer or walk way.
