(Alliance News) - JKX Oil & Gas PLC on Monday said it has appointed Charles Valceschini as its chair with immediate effect.
Valceschini has 40 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, JKX said, and has had leadership roles with BP PLC and was the former chief executive and finance chief of American Energy Group Ltd.
JKX also noted that it has added Tony Alves and Rashin Javanshir as non-executive directors.
Alves was formerly the finance chief of AIM-listed Volga Gas PLC and Javanshir had various senior management roles at BP.
Valceschini said: "I look forward to leading the company into a new phase, delivering strategic and operational focus and continuing to ensure good corporate governance in the interests of all shareholders."
Shares in JKX closed 1.0% higher at 30.00 pence each in London on Monday.
