(Alliance News) - Africa-focused minerals explorer IronRidge Resources Ltd on Monday said it has appointed Amanda Harsas as chief financial officer, with immediate effect.
Harsas replaces Priy Jayasuriya, who resigned as CFO earlier this month "by mutual agreement". At the time, Ironridge had installed Karl Schlobohm as interim CFO, while a search for a permanent replacement was conducted. Schlobohm is IronRidge's company secretary and had acted as its CFO in the past. Haras will take on a full-time but non-board role.
Harsas has more than 20 years of experience in strategic finance, business transformation, commercial finance, customer and supplier negotiations, and capital management, IronRidge said. She is a chartered accountant and has experience in Asia, Europe and the US.
"IronRidge continues to strengthen its management team as it makes its transition from explorer to developer," said Chair Neil Herbert. "We are delighted Amanda is joining us in this important role and at such a pivotal time in the company's history."
The company has assets in Ghana, Chad, Gabon and Ivory Coast in Africa, as well as in Australia.
IronRidge shares were 5.65% lower on Monday at GBP15.52 in London.
