IQ-AI Secures StoneChecker Software Approval In South Korea

Mon, 20th Jan 2020 12:15

(Alliance News) - Medical software firm IQ-AI Ltd on Monday said its StoneChecker product received regulatory consent in South Korea.

The software, which provides information about a patient's kidney stones, secured approval from the Ministry of Food & Drug Safety, formerly known as the Korean Food & Drug Administration.

Chief Executive Trevor Brown said: "We are delighted that StoneChecker Software has received KFDA approval for marketing in the Republic of Korea, our Korean distributor's marketing plans can now be fully implemented."

The company in December said it is seeking a partner or a buyer for the StoneChecker product, following a strategic review.

IQ-AI shares were 0.7% lower at 4.52 pence each in London on Monday morning.
