LONDON (Alliance News) - Imagination Technologies Group PLC shares surged on Tuesday following a report by technology news website Ars Technica that Apple Inc is in advanced talks to buy the UK-listed company.
Imagination Technologies shares were up 17% to 217.02 pence, the best performer in the FTSE All-Share.
Ars Technica said a source with knowledge of the situation said Apple, the US technology giant, was in advanced talks to buy Imagination, known for its PowerVR line graphics processing units, which Apple has used in the past.
