Guild Esports PLC - London-based esports business - Finalises professional Counter-Strike roster of five players plus coaching staff. IN BRIEF: Guild Esports to raise GBP1.0 million from unnamed investor

Guild Esports PLC - London-based esports business - Signs subscription letter with "an international esports, content creation and media brand" to raise up to GBP1.0 million. Brand has subscribed for up to 200.0 million new shares at 0.5 pence each. Subscription is in three tranches, all payable in cash. Brand has already subscribed for the first GBP250,000 tranche; the second, also of GBP250,000, is due on Monday. The third tranche is for GBP500,000, but is conditional on the two parties entering a "wider commercial agreement". Proceeds will provide further working capital, "to implement Guild's strategic drive for its brand and services more deeply into the industry ecosystem as well as to facilitate international expansion." Guild is especially eager to "establish an immediate foothold" in the Middle East & North Africa region.

The event was hosted in Copenhagen on Friday. Says it provided "significant visibility" to Guild, and a small proportion of the prize money went to the company.

Guild Esports PLC - Signs three top-ranked professional players, 'Blacha', 'Chico' and 'PabloWingu' to its professional Fortnite group. Blacha, Chico and PabloWingu are regarded as "industry ones to watch" and have won over USD185,000 combined in tournament prize pools in 2023, it notes. They will be competing under the Guild banner in European and international Fortnite tournaments.
