Evgen Pharma PLC, up 66% at 4.74 pence, 12-month range 2.83p-6.70p. The clinical stage drug development company signs a licencing deal for up to USD160.5 million with Stalicla SA for the global rights to its lead asset SFX-01 in neurodevelopmental disorders and schizophrenia.

Ashtead Technology Holdings PLC, up 8.4% at 269.90 pence, 12-month range 156.40p-320.00p. The subsea equipment rental firm expects to "materially outperform" its previous expectations for 2022. Ashtead says it has continued to benefit from increasing strength across its geographical markets.

AIM - LOSERS

Europa Oil & Gas Holdings PLC, down 37% at 1.38p, 12-month range 1.02p-3.70p. Alongside i3 Energy PLC, it says it has abandoned a North Sea well after "disappointing" drilling results in the Serenity field. The companies said that the SA02 well, in the Serenity field, was drilled to a total depth of 5,630 feet. While over 100 feet of other Captain sands was encountered, these were found to be water wet. The well will now be plugged and abandoned. i3 Energy shares traded 11% lower at 24.31p.
