LONDON (Alliance News) - Edenville Energy PLC Tuesday said it has completed the necessary documents for its mining license application for the Rukwa coal to project in South Africa, which should be submitted on schedule at the end of June.
The data and documentation gathered for the application includes the mining plan, employment plan, and the corporate and social responsibility framework.
"Having the mining licence well ahead of any power plant development would allow the company to present a significantly advanced and de-risked project to our investors and potential partners. In addition, it presents the opportunity to generate early-stage cash flow by supplying regional coal users should commercially viable terms be agreed," said Edenville.
"I would also like to report that the 2015 exploration programme has commenced with ground magnetic survey work in the Namwele area, and we will be expanding this programme as the dry season continues," added Chief Executive Rufus Short.
Edenville shares were up 2.4% to 0.0768 pence per share on Tuesday morning.
