LONDON (Alliance News) - Edenville Energy PLC on Friday said it resubmitted the documentation for the request for qualification for coal fired power generation projects in Tanzania.
The resubmission comes after Tanzania Electricity Supply Co, or Tanesco, cancelled in in early November a tender for large solar power generating projects, coal-fired power generating projects, and large wind power generating projects.
Tanesco later confirmed a coal power tender would go ahead despite the cancellation.
Edenville explained that a review by Tanesco will now take place to select the companies who will proceed to the next stage of the tender.
"There is no defined time limit for the review and at present no assurances can be provided that this re-submission will lead to a successful outcome for Edenville," the firm added.
Edenville shares were trading down 6.1% at 0.15 pence each.
