(Alliance News) - Dods Group PLC on Thursday confirmed Mark Smith as board chair, while also hiring a new non-executive director.
Dods is a technology group that specialises in business intelligence, media and technology resourcing. Smith has been interim chair since June, taking over after the death of former chair David Hammond. He will be non-executive chair, effective immediately.
Dods also appointed Vijay Vaghela as non-executive director, effective immediately as well. Vaghela has been chief operating officer of news publishing platform National World PLC since 2019 and was finance director of Reach PLC, which bought National World in 2015, from May 2003 until February 2019.
Smith said that Vaghela's experience in both media and finance will give Dods valuable insight as it "continues to evolve.
Shares in Dods were down 6.3% at 3.00 pence in London on Thursday.
