Cohort subsidiary secures Italian submarine contract extension

(Sharecast News) - Technology company Cohort announced on Thursday that its German subsidiary ELAC Sonar has been awarded a €16.4m contract amendment.

Cohort PLC - Reading, England-based technology firm - Says its German subsidiary, ELAC Sonar GmbH, has received a contract amendment to the value of EUR16.4 million, for the delivery of a sonar system to an additional unit of the Italian Navy's new build submarine programme. The amendment brings the 2021 contract's total value up to EUR100 million, and covers the supply of sonar systems to four submarines.

Cohort PLC - Reading, England-based technology firm is the parent company of businesses operating in the defence sector - Wholly owned subsidiary Chess Dynamics wins three contracts for air defence systems produced by Rheinmetall Air Defence AG, totalling more than GBP25 million. Chess will provide electro-optical tracking surveillance systems and multi-sensor units. Work will begin immediately, and deliveries will continue out to 2028.
