TRADING UPDATES: Safestyle trading "strong"; Medica wins new clients

Thu, 22nd Jul 2021 18:08

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Safestyle UK PLC - Bradford, England-based PVCu double-glazed windows provider - Trades strongly through the first half of 2021 and continues to make good progress on its strategic agenda. Safestyle UK expects to report revenues of GBP72.9 million for the six months to July 4, an increase of 13% over the first half of 2019 and 73% over 2020. "Despite these current uncertainties, in light of our positive first-half revenue growth, margin improvement and current order book, the board expects 2021's full year financial performance to be ahead of current market expectations," says Chief Executive Mike Gallacher.

----------

Medica Group PLC - Hastings, England-based teleradiology services provider - Reports a positive first half of 2021, with the UK and Ireland performing strongly against a backdrop of a sustained recovery in activity in diagnostic services. "The recovery of elective scanning activity in health services is now well underway. Medica is seeing a sustained recovery in Elective scanning volumes as a result, as well as a sustained strong performance of our NightHawk business in the UK due to continued growth from existing customers, good progress with new client wins, and providing expanded services to existing clients," says CEO Stuart Quin.

----------

Hansard Global PLC - Isle of Man-based long-term savings provider - Says present value of new business premiums for the financial year ended June 30 was GBP173.0 million, up 8.3% from GBP159.8 million the year prior. Hansard notes that new business has continued to recover from the most severe Covid-19 restrictions in place last year as pent-up cash savings is being invested. Assets under administration continue to grow strongly and totalled GBP1.2 billion at June 30, up 14% year-on-year.

----------

Hargreaves Services PLC - engineering services company - Says its German joint venture, Hargreaves Raw Materials Services GmbH, reports a profit after tax of GBP13.6 million, much stronger than expected. Additionally, HRMS has secured a number of forward trading positions, which give great confidence that HRMS can continue to benefit from the very strong commodity market conditions throughout the first six months of the year ending May 2022. As a result, Hargreaves Services now expects its results for the year ending May 2022 to be materially ahead of market expectations.

----------

KRM22 PLC - risk management company - Further strengthens the quality of its annual recurring revenue in the six months to June 30, including the signing of GBP300,000 of new business. The company expects to post total revenue of GBP2.2 million versus GBP2.3 million reported for the first half of 2020. The reduction in total revenue reflects the churn experienced in 2020 however, adjusted loss before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation is broadly in line with last year despite the slightly lower revenue.

----------

Strix Group PLC - Isle of Man kettle safety controls supplier - Reports positive trends and momentum in the first half of 2021 and will deliver revenue growth of 50%, compared to the Covid-affected prior year, and remains confident that it will deliver revenue growth of 30% in 2021. The new manufacturing operations in China continue to make excellent progress and remain on target and budget to be fully operational by August as originally scheduled.

----------

Residential refurbishment has performed particularly strongly in the year, with upselling of low carbon and silent solutions increasing their share of this category. Revenue in Continental Europe is also expected to close the year over 20% ahead of prior year on a constant currency basis. Overall, Australasian revenues are expected to deliver excellent organic growth of 35% on a constant currency basis.

----------

dotDigital Group PLC - London-based marketing software company - Says revenue from operations in the financial year to June 30 grew by 23% to GBP58.1 million, with adjusted Ebitda and adjusted operating profit both expected to be comfortably ahead of market expectations. The company says it intends to pay a final dividend. "Whilst we remain vigilant to the varied wider economic context, we enter the new year with solid business foundations and are laser-focus on our three-pillared growth strategy," says CEO Milan Patel.

----------

Countryside Properties PLC - Brentwood, England-based housebuilding and urban regeneration company - Says total completions were up to 1,096 homes in the 13-week period to June 30 from 449 homes a year prior. Adjusted revenue rose to GBP287 million from GBP101 million year-on-year, and net reservation rate per open outlet per week was up 53% to 0.81 from 0.53. The company noted that it has no change to expectations for the full year.

----------

Tekmar Group PLC - Darlington, England-based engineering services company - Reports growth in the enquiry book to GBP320 million and a stable order book of GBP13 million, supported by GBP10 million of contracts in advanced negotiation. "The market outlook for the global offshore wind industry over the next decade provides a major opportunity for Tekmar to further strengthen our industry leading position in offshore wind. The growth opportunity we have ahead is significant. It is now about execution and the team are focused on delivering on the opportunity," says CEO Alasdair MacDonald.

----------

Breedon Group PLC - Breedon on the Hill, England-based construction materials company - Swings to profit of GBP46.2 million for the six months to the end of June from GBP10.1 million loss reported a year ago. Revenue, meanwhile, rises to GBP600.9 million from GBP335.3 million year-on-year. The company declares a dividend of 0.5p per share for the half-year, having paid none in the first half of 2020 and 2019. "The outlook for our end markets remains positive, with the UK and Irish governments committed to significant investment in infrastructure, combined with sustained structural demand for new build residential housing," says CEO Rob Wood.

----------

AfriTin Mining Ltd - Guernsey-based miner - Says total production for the year ended February 28 amounted to 473 tonnes of tin concentrate, up from 32 tonnes posted the year before. AfriTin reports first material revenue number of GBP5 million for the year from GBP69,000 the year ago. "With tin becoming a new technology metal and the demand for lithium and tantalum, we believe the economics of the historical operation have been transformed," notes CEO Anthony Viljoen.

----------

Rambler Metals & Mining PLC - London-based copper ores company - Reports 2,502 tonnes of concentrate containing 673 tonnes of saleable copper and 585 ounces of saleable gold produced in the three months to June 30, lower than 3,323 tonnes containing 876 tonnes and 562 ounces of saleable copper and gold, respectively, produced in the first quarter of 2021. Revenue, meanwhile, rises to GBP65.6 million from GBP56.6 million year-on-year. Ideagen ups total dividend by 16% to 0.37p per share for the year. Going forward, the company remains in an "excellent" position to pursue a healthy acquisition pipeline, with continued focus on organic growth.

----------

PensionBee Group PLC - London-based pensions services provider - Continues to implement its customer-focused strategy, achieving strong year-on-year growth in the first half of 2021. Invested customers increased by 81% to 92,000, while assets under administration increased to GBP2.0 million from GBP915 million year-on-year driven by strong net flows from new and existing customers. Annual run rate revenue increased to GBP12.3 million from GBP5.7 million in the first half of 2020. "We are excited about the vast growth opportunity ahead ," says CEO Romi Savova.

----------

ActiveOps PLC - Reading, England-based management software firm - Reports a narrowed pretax loss of GBP2.0 million in the financial year to March 31 versus GBP2.9 million loss posted the year earlier. This was due to a slight reduction in administrative expenses, as revenue remained unchanged year-on-year at GBP20.4 million. Going forward, the company says trading in the first quarter of the new financial year has progressed in line with expectations, demonstrating considerable improvements year-on-year when Covid-19 delayed implementations and sales.

----------

Franchise Brands PLC - Macclesfield, England-based franchise business - Says revenue increases by 18% to GBP28.6 million in the six months to June 30. Pretax profit, meanwhile, jumps to GBP2.6 million from GBP900,000 year-on-year. Franchise Brands declares an interim dividend of 0.60p per share for the half-year versus 0.30p paid the year prior. "We are confident that the full year performance will be ahead of current consensus market expectations," says Executive Chair Stephen Hemsley.
